FAQ

Absurdity Club Overshirt
The Product
What exactly is a Collage Overshirt?

It's a new category of garment — not a Hawaiian shirt, not a graphic tee, not a dress shirt.

A Collage Overshirt is a dense, hand-drawn artwork applied to a lightweight overshirt and worn open over a plain tee. From a distance it reads as a bold, colourful layer. Up close it reveals hundreds of references, hidden details, and cultural nonsense you won't catch in one sitting.

Looks normal. Isn't.

Think of it as wearable internet culture — built for double-takes, quiet laughs, and that inevitable "where did you get that?"

How do I wear it?

Three steps. That's it.

1
Start

Plain tee. Any colour. Doesn't matter.

2
Add

Throw the overshirt on open over the top. Like a windbreaker.

3
Done

Interesting outfit. Zero extra effort.

Don't button it up. Don't overthink it. Pair with jeans, chinos, shorts — whatever you'd normally wear. The overshirt does the work. You just throw it on.

Is there hidden stuff in the designs?

Yes — that's the whole point.

Every Collage Overshirt contains 50+ hand-placed references: memes, internet relics, cultural nonsense, things that probably shouldn't still be funny but are. Some you'll catch immediately. Some you'll notice weeks later. Some a mate will point out before you do.

The designs are built to reward attention. The longer you look, the more you find.

What makes these different from other printed shirts?

Every design is hand-drawn. Not generated. Not templated. Not spat out by a prompt.

Placed. One element at a time. On purpose. Each design takes weeks — iterated until the composition feels right, every reference exactly where it should be.

That's not a production detail — it's the whole reason the density feels intentional rather than random. A machine could fill a shirt with a thousand references. A human choosing a hundred carefully is a different thing entirely.

Hand-collaged. Not prompted.

Fabric & Fit
What's it made of and why?

Your windbreaker is polyester. Your puffer jacket is polyester. Nobody questions those — because they're layers. They go over your clothes, not against your skin.

Same logic here. The Collage Overshirt goes over a tee, not instead of one. It's not touching your skin. It's outerwear for your personality.

The fabric is smooth, lightweight, and wrinkle-resistant — chosen specifically because it holds fine print detail better than cotton, slides on effortlessly, and drapes naturally without bunching. No ironing. No fuss.

Same fabric as your windbreaker. Same logic too.

How do I choose the right size?

Each product page includes a size guide with measurements. The best approach: grab a shirt or overshirt you already own and love the fit of, measure it flat across the chest, and compare to the chart.

These are worn open and relaxed — not fitted. If you're between sizes, size up.

Still unsure? Contact us here and we'll sort you out.

How do I wash it?

Cold wash, gentle cycle, hang dry. That's the short version.

Avoid bleach, harsh detergents, or ironing directly over the print. Treat it like you'd treat anything with detailed artwork on it — a little care goes a long way.

Full care instructions are on each product page.

Ordering
How long will it take to arrive?

Everything is made to order — printed when you buy it, not pulled from a shelf. That means 10–14 business days on average from order to delivery, production included.

Sometimes faster. Occasionally a little longer depending on your location, busy periods, or things beyond our control. Check the Shipping Policy for full details.

Where are orders made and shipped from?

Orders are printed and fulfilled through professional print partners located in the US, Europe, and Asia — whichever is closest to you. This keeps production efficient, reduces waste, and gets your order to you faster.

Every facility operates to high quality and ethical standards. No sweatshops. No corners cut.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — most countries worldwide. International orders may attract customs duties or import taxes depending on your country. These are the customer's responsibility.

Delivery times vary by destination. Check the Shipping Policy for specifics.

Free shipping and discount codes

Orders over $100 AUD automatically qualify for free shipping. The code FREESHIP100 will appear at checkout — no need to enter it manually.

Discount codes can't be stacked. If you have a promo code and qualify for free shipping, pick whichever gives you the better deal.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Production starts quickly after an order is placed, so we can't guarantee changes or cancellations. If you've made a mistake, contact us immediately and we'll do everything we can.

Do you offer gift options?

No gift wrapping or custom messages currently — but every order ships in clean, sturdy packaging that's perfectly giftable. Just enter the recipient's details at checkout.

Or grab an Absurd Gift Card and let them pick their own ridiculousness.

The Important Stuff
Should I wear this to my grandma's house?

If grandma has a sense of humour: absolutely.

If not: still yes. This is how she finds out.

Will this make me more attractive?

Almost certainly. Our Collage Overshirts have been independently observed to increase perceived charisma by 1–3 points. We have no data to support this. It still feels true.
